As I've mentioned, my little family is on vacation at the Diego lake house in Georgia. This is Mia's second summer visiting her dad's side of the family, and she always has a blast chasing squirrels, getting close but not into the water, and sniffing around the perimeter of the property to keep things safe.
She uses this as an excuse to get closer to John Paul, and coordinate outfits.
She doesn't have to blow dry her hair, and this encourages even more voluminous hair growth.
Mia's a little too afraid to try out wakesurfing, so she lives vicariously through John Paul.
Perhaps most importantly, the time spent at the lake allows for quiet contemplation and evaluation of the choices she has made throughout her life.And wonder how many treats John Paul's dad will sneak to her under the table.
She loves sneaky treats.
